In Spring 2015, former part-time employee Justin Prehn graduated from the Civil Engineering Technician program at Madison College. He subsequently accepted a full-time position with Spatial Data Surveys, and will soon begin preparations for the State of Wisconsin Land Surveyor licensing exams. Congratulations, Justin!
Justin and Jim Prehn initiated the development of a data collection application that expedites power line sag survey field work. Trimble Navigation, Westminster, CO, programmed the module for use in its Trimble Access data collection software suite and released it for world wide distribution during the Fall of 2014.
Trimble Dimensions 2014 Users Conference, 3-5 November 2014
Justin and Jim Prehn presented the new Trimble Power Line module at Trimble Dimensions 2014 in Las Vegas, November 3. They also participated in several hands-on user demonstrations at the Geospatial Outdoor Theater. Power Line was enthusiastically received by surveyors and power company reps as a more efficient and better method to survey transmission and distribution conductors in the field.
